In other words are mutual feeling important for love ?
Answer :
Well a very nice question indeed. But there are more things involved in the process of a love being untrue then just not having mutual feelings for someone in your life who claims to be your special someone or vice verca.
Let’s get down to the core of the issue here, as you said if a person doesn’t have the same feelings for someone then their love is untrue, so yes and no. If your love, your care, your feelings for that someone are not the same for that someone then it boils down to one thing, who are we tricking here.
- Are we in a relationship which will grow into something beautiful later on?
- Are we fooling ourselves to keep holding onto someone who we don’t feel the same emotions for?
- Are we really feeling that we are being fair to the other person by not telling them how we feel about them?
There are literally billions of people out there in this world who might be living with someone or with someone without feeling a thing for the other person. What kind of life is that for both ?
Ofcourse being unfair in this situation hurts both the people because firstly you don’t love the other person, and secondly the other person loves you with emotions of love that should be respected and cared for.
And staying in a relationship just having a cover on our face that we love someone even though we don’t feel a thing for them, is not respecting their love or caring for them, instead we are just digging a hole where both will fall and that too.. very hard and it will surely not be painless.
So not only love is untrue at that point when we act out loving someone, but we are untrue to ourselves too.
